ABOUT US

Flat Rock was founded in 1867 by A.G. Parrott of the Tippah Association. Mark Perrin Lowrey, founder of Blue Mountain College,  preached the first organized service of Flat Rock from 1 Peter 2:5. That scripture states, "you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."

Today, we want nothing more than to meet the expectations of that verse together, with you! We believe that the church and its people are important, as the church is one of the most important institutions God created for us. God originated the church as a place for Him to inhabit through the Spirit, and we hope that you'll come experience that with us!

"Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:19-20)
